ABOUT AHM x LUND

Designer Isabel Ahm and fine furnituremaker Signe Lund work at the intersection of craft and design from their Copenhagen-based studio. Their shared belief in aesthetic sustainability and long-lasting design leads them to create meaningful products with deep material understanding. AHM x LUND’s work is characterized by durability both in terms of quality and impeccable, timeless design.
The collaboration started in 2016 during the exhibition Skud På Stammen, a collaboration between professional designers and cabinet maker students. In 2018 Isabel & Signe officially joined forces and formed the studio AHM x LUND and catapulted their newly found business by joining the Danish TV show Denmark’s Next Classic, Season 1.
AHM x LUND is an interplay between two opposites. A brave and experimenting and forward-thinking design and craft duo that questions and challange the boundaries of material, craft, architecture and design. With an outlook on larger global issues, they strive to create iconic and honest objects with a higher purpose. They have a sincere wish to bring purpose into our everyday life.
Signe Lund (1991)
Signe is an educated fine furnituremaker from the Copenhagen Technical College in 2017 with a silver medal, the highest honor possible. Same year she started herown studio where she creates beautiful well-crafted objects with focus on sustainable thorough durability, for private clients and galleries.
Signe has 7 years of teaching experience as external teacher and consultant at the Royal Danish Academy, DIS and the National Workshops for Arts, Denmark. Objects designed by Signe Lund is founded in the belief that when they evoke our feelings, we cherish and hold on to them. Well-crafted pieces demand our attention and presence, by awakening our senses and emotions through high quality materials and form. The aim is to create meaningful object that serve for a more welcoming and beautiful world.
Isabel Ahm (1980)
Isabel is trained as a furniture architect from the Danish Royal Academy 2007. She started her furniture design studio in 2013 and has been working for danish and international clients since. Isabel has 12 years of teaching expirience (master level) and has been giving lectures for danish and international audiences.
Furniture designed by Isabel Ahm is founded in the life and behaviour of human kind. Each object is designed to fulfill a need and there is always a reasoning, a well thought out concept, and a clear design language behind every furniture. The aim is to bring functional comfort, into our everyday lives. The design should awaken our senses, nourish our soul and make us more present in the now and in the world we live in. Each furniture is designed with sustainability in mind and crafted with the best materials to secure the future of our world.
